This travel nursing role supports a hospital medical-surgical unit in Hawaii. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with nights as the primary shift. After the first full week of orientation, scheduled hours are approximately 36 per week. A Hawaii RN license in good standing is required by the start date.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, and manage IVs and basic wound care
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech EMR) and maintain accurate Pyxis medication management
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan and execute patient care, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching
- Monitor for changes in patient condition, respond to emergent situations, and ensure safety and comfort on the unit
- Participate in unit orientation and maintain compliance with unit policies and protocols; may float to Laulima or Cardiovascular units as needed
Requirements
- Current Hawaii RN license active by start date; if not currently licensed, must apply upon acceptance and obtain licensure by start
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- 2–10 years of Med surg RN experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work nights and be flexible with hours; may be assigned various shift lengths and days
- Flu vaccination proof or facility-approved medical/religious exception required prior to start
- Willingness to float to other units as needed (e.g., Laulima Unit, Cardiovascular Unit)
- Must arrive the Thursday before start for employee health appointment and onboarding
