Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, travel assignment in Rochester, New York. Start date 07/06/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,072–$2,125 per week. Guaranteed hours 0.0. Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (D/E/N) with holidays and on-call needs. This assignment places you in a high-volume ED setting, caring for med/surg boarder patients within a Level I trauma center environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct care for adult med/surg boarder patients within the ED, maintaining a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio with assistive personnel
- Monitor vitals, administer prescribed medications, manage telemetry as needed, and perform ongoing patient assessments
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, escalate to the ED physician, and participate in rapid response as required
- Collaborate with ED multidisciplinary team and assistive staff to coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record, uphold safety and infection control practices, and assist with procedures as needed
- Adapt to rotating shifts and on-call requirements, including holidays and weekends as needed

Requirements
- NYS Registered Nurse license required (ONLY NY licenses accepted at this time)
- Two (2) years Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS preferred but not required
- ED experience not required; ability to work in a fast-paced ED/Med/Surg boarder setting
