Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg with renal-focused care on a 21-bed Renal/Med-Surg unit in a clinic setting. Location: Zanesville, OH. Start Date: 07/20/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,874–$1,981 per week. Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week. Shift: Nights, 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). This assignment emphasizes high-acuity adult renal and medical-surgical care with cross-functional teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Start date notes: unless the RN is a returning Genesis traveler within 9 months, the start date available is July 20, 2026.

Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients, with attention to renal-related needs
- Manage patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis care
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac telemetry to support hemodynamic stability
- Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units, including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders

Requirements
- Active Ohio RN license (required at submission)
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience; renal experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
- Epic EMR proficiency is mandatory; a competency test is required on Day 1 and failure results in contract termination
- No on-call requirement
