Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit, including monitoring vital signs, performing assessments, and implementing care plans.
- Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders; observe for adverse reactions and document responses.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (nursing, physicians, case management) to coordinate care and plan for safe discharge.
- Document patient status, interventions, and progress in the electronic medical record with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control practices, and adherence to hospital policies; respond promptly to calls and emergencies.
- Ensure clear handoffs between shifts and continuity of care for all assigned patients.

Requirements
- Active California RN license.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Recent Med/Surg nursing experience.
- Ability to work 12-hour daytime shifts (07:00–19:30).
- Education: graduate from an approved nursing program (RN).
