Registered Nurse | Med Surg (Stroke Stepdown) | Utica, NY, United States | Start 06/22/2026 | 13 weeks | $2,201-$2,266 per week | 36 guaranteed hours per week | Shift: 2x3 Nights | Travel assignment on a 64-bed MS Stroke Stepdown unit in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult MS stroke step-down patients, including neuro assessments, vital signs, and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications and therapies, manage IV pumps, feeding tubes, and NG tubes as prescribed.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition; intervene per protocol and escalate to the medical team as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EPIC electronic medical record, including MAR, flowsheets, and progress notes.
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team on care planning, discharge planning, and patient and family education.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and isolation precautions; assist with mobility and fall prevention; manage patient delegation and handoffs during shifts; float to other units as required.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York; NURSYS license verification showing current NY license and all active RN licenses.
- 2+ years of Med/Surg experience with stroke stepdown experience.
- BLS certification; NIHSS certification is required for this unit (NIHSS can be obtained prior to start).
- Travel experience required; local candidates within 75 miles considered at local rate.
- EPIC EMR experience.
- Driver’s license with address that matches demographics; RTO (time off) request must be included at submission.
- Ability to float to other units as needed; ability to work night shifts on a 2x3 schedule.
