Registered Nurse – Med Surg, Petoskey, MI | Start 06/15/2026 | 13 weeks | 36 hours per week | $2,146–$2,197 per week | 3x12 night shift | Hospital travel assignment

- Unit description: Med/Surg unit with a diverse patient population including general and vascular surgery, bariatric, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke care
- Documentation requirement: skills checklist completed within 12 months of application

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care based on physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual assessments, aligned with the Clinical Practice Model and Caring-Quality framework
- Deliver patient-centered care focused on safety and quality outcomes; administer medications and monitor responses; document accurately
- Utilize clinical pathways and SBAR communications; participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning
- Educate patients and families, reinforce discharge planning, and coordinate with the care team to ensure smooth transitions
- Demonstrate clinical leadership by serving as a resource and role model; contribute to unit-based governance and evidence-based practice
- Maintain professional growth through ongoing learning and adherence to competency-based objectives; support orientation for new staff

Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license; license verification via LARA and Nursys
- BLS (AHA) certified
- 2+ years of straight Med Surg experience; not float, SDU/Tele
- Level II or I trauma experience required
- Education: graduate of an approved RN program; eligible to practice in Michigan
- Travel experience preferred; ability to work the 3x12 night schedule on a Med/Surg unit
- Michigan-specific practice environment readiness and ability to meet unit-based competencies (skills checklist within the last year)
