Overview
Registered Nurse - Med Surg | Austell, GA, United States | Start date: June 8, 2026 | Duration: 13 weeks | Weekly pay: $1,649–$1,719 per week | Shift: 3x12-hour shifts | Setting: travel assignment in a hospital. This temporary assignment is a travel position supporting inpatient medical-surgical care, staffed by an interdisciplinary team and governed by a structured practice framework. The RN will provide patient-centered care, collaborate with licensed and unlicensed teammates, and uphold professional nursing standards and ethics as outlined by state regulations and national practice guidelines.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care within the medical-surgical unit, assessing and monitoring patient status.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital policies.
- Develop and update individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Document care, assessments, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions; advocate for patient safety and comfort.
- Participate in rounds, care conferences, and quality-improvement initiatives as part of the care team.

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Georgia
- Practice aligned with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and applicable American Nurses Association standards
- Ability to work in a hospital inpatient setting and participate in a 3x12-hour shift pattern
- Demonstrated competence in adult medical-surgical nursing and basic patient assessment
- Willingness to adhere to evidence-based practice and organizational professional-practice standards
