Overview

Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii, US. Start date: 10/05/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,118–$2,194 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: Flex (varied, including weekends and holidays). Work setting: hospital-based environment with a Long Term Care facility on site.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments and implement nursing care plans within scope of practice
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses; document findings
  • Notify MD/NP of pertinent information and coordinate changes in care
  • Admit and discharge patients as appropriate for a long-term care unit
  • Assist with activities of daily living and mobility needs
  • Provide specialized care, including gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, nebulized treatment, wound VAC care, CPAP support, and tracheostomy care
  • Perform other assigned duties related to long-term care within the hospital setting

Requirements

  • Hawaii Registered Nurse license active by start date (HI license must be held by assignment start)
  • If not currently licensed in Hawaii, must apply upon acceptance and obtain HI license prior to start
  • Ability to perform the responsibilities listed and work in a hospital-based LTC unit
  • Must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health appointment per policy
  • Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
