Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery, Clearlake, CA. Travel - temporary assignment starting 08/24/2026 for 9 weeks. Weekly pay range from $2,153 to $2,346, with 48 guaranteed hours per week. Responsibilities
- Provide direct care for obstetric patients across the spectrum—from labor and delivery through postpartum and for newborns up to 28 days of life
- Monitor fetal status and respond to obstetric changes, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe delivery and postpartum care
- Administer medications, prepare and assist with procedures, and support newborn stabilization as needed
- Document care in the electronic health record, maintain patient safety and HIPAA compliance, and educate patients and families about care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, lactation consultants, and ancillary staff to deliver comprehensive maternal-newborn care
- Demonstrate professionalism and maintain competencies in established standards of care for the Women's Care Unit
Requirements
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Licenses: Current California RN license
- Certifications: Current BLS; AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification within six months of employment (recertify every two years); NRP; hospital conscious sedation certification required for WCU team; ACLS & STABLE preferred (initial certification within six months and recertified every two years where applicable)
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field; strong labor and delivery experience with postpartum and newborn care; newborn stabilization skills strongly preferred
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency; ability to work the 3x12 night schedule and care for obstetric and neonatal patients in a high-acuity setting
