Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Los Angeles, CA. Start date is August 17, 2026 for an 8-week assignment in a hospital setting. Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, monitoring maternal and fetal status and intervening as needed.
- Administer medications and therapies within scope, while documenting outcomes accurately and promptly.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, delegating tasks appropriately and ensuring patient safety.
- Coordinate care with other disciplines (physicians, anesthesia, support services) to maintain continuity of obstetric care.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to respond to obstetric emergencies and ensure best-practice outcomes.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Experience in labor and delivery or obstetric nursing (travel experience preferred)
- Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts per week
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
