Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum obstetric patients (high, moderate, and low risk) in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, assist with labor progression, and respond to obstetric emergencies per policy.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesia, and neonatal teams; document care in the medical record and communicate clearly with patients and families.
- Float among OB service units as needed to meet variable needs; maintain competency across related care areas.
- Prioritize patient safety and family-centered care; demonstrate strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Minimum of two years’ labor and delivery experience
- OR and triage experience highly desired
- Ability to work rotating shifts and float among OB units
