Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) traveling assignment in Vail, Colorado. Start date: 06/01/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,781–$2,992. Guaranteed hours: 24 per week. Shift: 3x12 rotating (days and nights). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital with obstetric care, including antepartum, labor/delivery, recovery, postpartum, lactation education, well newborn, and Level 2 Nursery support.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to antepartum patients, laboring patients through childbirth, recovery, and postpartum care; provide lactation education and support for well newborns and Level 2 Nursery patients
- Monitor patient status, triage incoming requests, administer medications, perform treatments, assist in procedures, and uphold patient safety guidelines
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Deliver patient and family education to facilitate care plans, informed decisions, and breastfeeding support; advocate for patient preferences and safety
- Manage daily patient flow, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate effective assessment, critical thinking, and independent work at times; maintain HIPAA compliance and align with Just Culture and organizational values
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Colorado or a valid compact state
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in obstetric/L&D or a closely related area
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher; positions hired after 07/01/2018 require ADN or higher
- Ability to work in an obstetric and neonatal care setting, including rotation between days and nights as assigned
