This is a travel assignment requiring bedside nursing care for obstetric patients and supervision of nursing staff during night shifts.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of obstetric patients following established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with obstetricians, anesthesia, postpartum, and neonatal teams.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, assist with labor management, and support immediate postpartum care.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses; ensure accuracy and continuity of care across shifts.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and appropriate supervisory discretion during patient care and unit operations.
- Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy; respond to emergencies and escalate concerns per policy.

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum ability to perform required duties within an inpatient labor and delivery setting
- Relevant experience in labor and delivery or perinatal care; recent experience preferred
- Ability to work nights on a 12-hour shift schedule
- Able to pass background check and drug screening as part of the assignment process
