Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group of patients in the ICU according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient status, monitor vital signs and responsiveness, and respond to changes in condition with appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, monitor for adverse effects, and document outcomes accurately.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff across different levels on the shift, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient care delivery.
- Coordinate care with other disciplines (physicians, respiratory therapy, rehabilitation, and ancillary services) and communicate clearly to the care team.
- Maintain meticulous documentation, uphold patient safety, and exercise professional judgment and critical thinking in care planning and execution.
Requirements
- Current, active RN license in California (unrestricted)
- ICU or critical care nursing experience in a high-acuity environment
- Ability to perform nursing responsibilities in a fast-paced ICU setting and work 12-hour shifts
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Eligibility to work a travel assignment in Tulare, CA and start on 08/17/2026
