Overview
Registered Nurse – ICU Lead (Travel) in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date 06/22/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range $1,914–$2,049 per week. Shift is 3x12-hour days (36 hours per week). This travel - temporary assignment places you in an acute care, unit-based ICU setting. The role combines clinical nursing with unit leadership responsibilities, working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff to deliver safe, cost-effective patient care and strong patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing and ancillary personnel using professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment
- Ensure all patients on the unit receive cost-effective, professional care that results in positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction while maintaining patient safety
- Assess and implement steps to improve quality of the patient experience
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care plans, admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Maintain compliance with professional standards and accurate documentation; support continuous improvement and appropriate delegation

Requirements
- Active California RN license
- ICU/critical care nursing experience; nurse lead or charge nurse experience preferred
- Ability to function effectively in a unit leadership role as RN Lead
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork; ability to collaborate with physicians and staff
