Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to a geriatric patient population, applying the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional team to coordinate patient care across the unit, adjusting plans as patient needs evolve.
- Administer medications and perform nursing procedures; monitor clinical status and respond to changes in condition promptly.
- Document care and updates in the electronic health record (EPIC) with accuracy and timeliness.
- Deliver patient and family education, contribute to discharge planning, and support transitions to the next level of care.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff while maintaining safety and adherence to scope of practice.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (state of practice) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required at time of hire
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required
- Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia during Orientation for all departments except Obstetrics and NICU
- Minimum two years of recent acute care nursing experience; BSN preferred
