Overview
Registered Nurse (Geriatric) – Sonora, California. Travel assignment at a short-term acute care hospital. Start date: 08/31/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,820-$1,931 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Evenings (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM). This position supports geriatric patient care in an acute care setting on a temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients with emphasis on geriatric needs in a hospital setting
- Coordinate orientation for new hires and mentor unit preceptors to support a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and implement patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families, promote health literacy, and advocate for patient rights
- Develop, deliver, and document clinical education and training using varied teaching methods
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- At least two years of recent nursing experience
- BSN preferred; MSN preferred
- Experience or educational background in Skilled Nursing (SNF) or geriatric care is highly desirable
- Ability to work in a hospital setting as a travel RN and to relocate as needed
