Registered Nurse - First Assist (RNFA), Cardiac OR — Rochester, NY. This travel temporary assignment begins 07/06/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Shifts are 12 hours. Weekly pay ranges from $3,258 to $3,465. The role is in a hospital setting and involves on-site, perioperative duties with unit-based on-call responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities
- Assist with chest exposure and closure during cardiac procedures; independently perform vein harvesting for CABG surgeries.
- Serve as first assist in complex cardiac cases and adapt to additional duties as needed.
- May scrub and circulate complex cardiac procedures, including CABGs, structural heart cases, minimally invasive procedures, and heart failure cases.
- Support DaVinci robotic cases when required or requested.
- Contribute to heart transplant cases when applicable and maintain perioperative patient safety and telemetry monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with the cardiac surgical team, anesthesia, and circulator staff to ensure efficient case flow and patient care.

Requirements
- New York State RN license (active)
- CNOR certification
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac RNFA experience
- Telemetry competency
- Ability to perform in a 12-hour shift and participate in unit-based on-call as needed
