
Overview
Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER) in Saint Louis, Missouri. Travel - temporary assignment starting 09/08/2026 for Weeks, with shifts of 3x12 Nights. Weekly pay range: $1,865 to $1,977 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week. The assignment is in an acute care ED setting with 38 ED beds and a total of 233 staffed beds, serving all ages with a separate psych area. Typical daily ED visits are around 127. The ED is STEMI and Stroke certified and operates with a full interdisciplinary team, including Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Unit Secretary, and Interpretation Services. Electronic charting is via Epic.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED for adult and pediatric patients, including triage, initial assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring.
- Perform EKG/12-lead rhythm analysis, establish IV access, administer medications and blood products per protocol, and assist with procedures as needed.
- Recognize and manage dysrhythmias; assist with airway management and use of BiPAP/CPAP as applicable.
- Support trauma and critical care needs; manage psychiatric patients in the dedicated area; coordinate rapid interventions with the multidisciplinary team.
- Document care and care plans accurately in the Epic electronic health record; communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and translation services.
- Ensure patient safety, accurate handoffs, and adherence to ED throughput and quality metrics during shift changes.
Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in Missouri (or eligible to obtain); Missouri accepts submission without license per state guidance; verify per state requirements.
- Minimum 2 years of ER RN experience; travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, NIHSS, PALS; Preferred: CPI, TNCC.
- Epic experience for electronic charting.
- Ability to work Nights on a 3x12 schedule; ED setting experience with adult and pediatric patients; able to manage a 1:4 patient ratio; on-call and floating not required.
