Overview

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 28-bed ER that includes 4 trauma bays, 2 behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms.
- Perform initial patient assessment, continuous monitoring, triage, and administration of medications; initiate IV access as needed.
- Stabilize and treat acutely ill or injured patients; collaborate with physicians and the broader care team to coordinate care.
- Document patient status, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the medical record; uphold patient safety and privacy standards.
- Support discharge planning, referrals, and handoffs to ensure appropriate follow-up and continuity of care.

Requirements
- Current Hawaii RN license by start date.
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to complete employee health requirements.
- Ability to work in a high-volume ER environment with fast patient turnover and a 3x12-night schedule.
- Willingness to work in an ER department with trauma and behavioral health considerations.
