Responsibilities
- Perform initial assessment and triage of emergency department patients, prioritizing care based on acuity.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, initiate and manage intravenous lines, and obtain necessary lab specimens as ordered.
- Respond to evolving clinical situations, provide basic life support, and participate in rapid assessment and stabilization efforts.
- Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record and ensure compliance with hospital policies and ER workflows.
- Support discharge planning and patient education, coordinating handoffs with inpatient units or external facilities as needed.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois
- ER nursing experience preferred (minimum 1 year recommended)
- BLS certification required
- Ability to work 7:00 PM–7:00 AM night shifts with weekend and holiday rotations
- Capacity to adhere to required documentation and billing procedures; ability to complete credentialing and onboarding requirements
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced hospital ER environment and follow all safety and privacy standards
