Overview
Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER) in Utica, NY. This travel assignment starts 07/13/2026 for 13 weeks, offering 36 guaranteed hours per week and a weekly pay range of $2,255 to $2,304. Shifts are 12-hour evenings in a hospital ED setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive ED nursing care for patients across the lifespan, with exposure to high-acuity conditions (e.g., stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure)
- Conduct triage, ongoing assessment, monitoring, stabilization, and escalation of patient needs; administer medications and IV therapies per protocol
- Manage vasoactive drips and a range of medications, operate ED equipment (e.g., Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun) and support rapid patient turnover
- Collaborate with physicians, unit charge, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, dispositions, and patient flow; facilitate safe handoffs
- Document accurately in the EPIC EMR; maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards
- Float to related ED areas as needed; adhere to unit standards, including scrubs color and fast response to emergencies

Requirements
- Active New York RN license with NURSYS verification
- Minimum 3 years ED experience; pediatric exposure desired; travel experience required
- Certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC required
- Education: RN degree (as licensed)
- EMR: EPIC experience required
- RTO requests must be included at time of submission
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- Travel status with a requirement to live at least 75 miles from the facility (locals within 75 miles eligible for local rate)
