Overview
Registered Nurse – ER in Hilo, Hawaii. Travel - temporary assignment starting 07/13/2026 for 15 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,856–$1,907 per week. Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts. This is in a hospital setting with a 28-bed ER department that includes 4 trauma bays, 2 behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms. Hawaii RN license must be active by the start date. The environment is fast-paced with rapid patient turnover and a collaborative, team-oriented approach. Orientation occurs during the first week; candidates must arrive the Thursday before the start date to complete employee health requirements.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for ED cases, including rapid assessment, triage, and continuous monitoring
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders; assist with procedures
- Monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms; interpret data and escalate as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, technicians, behavioral health staff, and case management to coordinate care
- Document care in the electronic health record with timely, accurate charting
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and readiness for transport or discharge; participate in trauma activations and behavioral health moments as appropriate

Requirements
- Hawaii RN license (active) required by start date
- ER nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts
- Must arrive the Thursday prior to start to complete employee health appointment and orientation
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented ED environment
