- Floating: Travelers may float within the hospital or to a sister campus as needed

- Weekends: Required; every other weekend
Responsibilities
- Deliver emergency nursing care to neonates through geriatrics in a high-volume ED, with cases ranging from stroke and STEMI to trauma and behavioral health crises
- Perform rapid assessment, triage, continuous monitoring, and escalation of patient care; initiate emergency protocols and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team
- Manage airway and ventilation, vascular access (arterial/central lines, IVs), hemodynamic monitoring, and administration of medications and blood products
- Participate in resuscitation efforts, STEMI/stroke protocols, and procedural sedations as appropriate
- Provide trauma and neuro-trauma care, behavioral health de-escalation, and safe patient triage and transfers
- Document patient care in the EPIC electronic medical record and ensure accurate, timely communications with providers and families
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience in Emergency Department; travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted only if they meet the 2-year requirement
- Certifications: BCLS (BLS), ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS
- Epic charting experience required (hard requirement)
- Active RN license (as applicable to practice) and ability to work in a high-volume ED with adult and pediatric populations
- Ability to float within the hospital or to a sister campus as needed
- Weekend coverage required (every other weekend); rotation as needed
- References: 2 references within the last 3 years required
- Compliance notes: Disclose any Nursys or licensure/background issues at submittal; RTO requests up to 5 days must be included with submittal
