Overview
Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Travel assignment in Austell, GA. Start date 05/18/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range: $1,673 to $1,721 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12). Setting: hospital emergency department in an acute care environment. The RN will work as part of an interdisciplinary care team, under nurse leadership, and within a governance model shaped by evidence-based practice and professional standards. The role requires compliance with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, while supporting patient- and family-centered care and service-excellence goals.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for ED patients on arrival and throughout the visit; identify priorities and initiate appropriate care plans.
- Provide acute care interventions, IV access, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of critical vital signs for a diverse patient population.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans.
- Document clinical findings, interventions, and patient responses accurately; ensure timely communication with the care team and family members.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and privacy standards; adapt care delivery to rapidly changing patient conditions.
- Support evidence-based practice and adhere to ethical standards and professional responsibilities outlined by state regulations and ANA guidelines.
Requirements
- Active Georgia RN license
- Certifications required by Job Notes (as specified for this assignment)
- Relevant experience in Emergency Department or comparable acute care setting
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN preparation)
- Ability to work nights and function effectively in a fast-paced ER environment
