Overview
Registered Nurse – CVOR travel assignment in Kansas City, KS. Start date: 06/14/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $3,066–$3,249 per week. Shift: 4x10-hour days. Setting: cardiovascular operating room within a hospital environment. This assignment is managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the scrub and circulating nurse for cardiothoracic procedures, maintaining a sterile field and assisting the surgical team
- Prepare the CVOR suite, assist with implant devices, instruments, and supplies, and ensure accurate counts of sponges and instruments
- Monitor intraoperative patient status, collaborate with anesthesia and perfusion teams, manage intraoperative equipment and hemodynamics as directed
- Ensure readiness and proper functioning of all cardiovascular surgical equipment; uphold sterile technique and infection control standards
- Document intraoperative events accurately; communicate clearly with surgeons and team members regarding patient safety and equipment needs

Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license (KS RN License)
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience in a level 1 trauma center
- Recent strong scrub experience on cardiac surgeries and circulating RN experience
- Ability to work 4x10-hour shifts and participate in holiday coverage; ability to float to related OR areas as needed
- Credentialing: complete required credentials at least 1 week prior to start
