Overview
Registered Nurse – CVICU travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date 08/17/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,921 to $3,020. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12 nights (36 hours per week). You’ll work in an inpatient critical care CVICU/ICU setting, providing high-acuity nursing care for patients with multisystem needs and ventilation requirements. This position is represented by CNA.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, expert nursing care for CVICU/ICU patients, including those requiring ventilation and hemodynamic monitoring
- Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans; monitor vitals, labs, and patient response to therapies
- Recognize and respond to clinical changes in patients with multisystem involvement (neuro/trauma, respiratory failure, complex hemodynamics)
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel within scope of practice, ensuring safe and compliant care delivery
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapists, imaging, and rehabilitation services) to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation, communicate plan of care, and ensure smooth handoffs during transfers or changes in status

Requirements
- Current California RN license
- Experience in a critical care setting, with CVICU/ICU exposure preferred
- Ability to work nights and maintain high acuity patient care in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to monitor hemodynamics and manage ventilated patients
- Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Eligibility to practice in the CVICU/ICU environment and meet travel assignment requirements
