Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the CVICU, including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring for patients with multi-system involvement.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans; continuously reassess patient status and adjust care as needed.
- Monitor vitals, invasive lines, ventilator settings, labs, and imaging; recognize and respond to deterioration with appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and support staff) to coordinate high-quality patient care.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel (CNA and support staff) in accordance with their scope of practice.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control, patient safety, and documentation standards.

Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license
- Experience in an ICU/CVICU or other critical care environment preferred
- Ability to work a 3x12-hour night shift in a high-acuity CVICU setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; capable of coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and supervising ancillary staff
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment
