Overview
Registered Nurse (CVICU) – Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Start date: 06/08/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,305–$2,344 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3x12). Travel - temporary assignment in a hospital setting. This assignment emphasizes independent, collaborative and delegated nursing functions within the CVICU, with care across the adult to geriatric population and postoperative cardiac patients.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, holistic nursing care in the CVICU for adult and geriatric patients, including postoperative care after cardiac surgery.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and device therapy; adjust care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Coordinate care with surgeons, perfusionists, ICU colleagues, and ancillary staff; delegate appropriately.
- Document accurately in Epic EMR; develop and revise plans of care; ensure continuity across shifts.
- Educate patients and families about disease processes, procedures, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Uphold safety, infection control, and high-quality standards; participate in ongoing performance improvement and practice standards.

Requirements
- Current Minnesota RN license (active) to practice
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- 1+ year of RN experience; CVICU or critical care experience with fresh open-heart surgery patients
- Demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac rhythms
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with Impella and balloon pumps is preferred
- Willingness to work nights (12-hour shifts) and every 3rd weekend; weekend coverage as described
- Submission requires two supervisory references with dates employed
- RTO requests must be included at time of submittal; post-submittal requests may not be honored
