Overview
Registered Nurse – Charge Acute Care in Templeton, CA. Start date 08/31/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Weekly pay range: $1,726–$1,817 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). This unit-based leadership role supports the delivery of cost-effective, high-quality patient care on an acute care unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Director, Physicians, and staff.
- Supervise and direct nursing and ancillary personnel to ensure safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
- Initiate and coordinate individual and team conferences with health team members, patients, and families to develop and revise care plans.
- Direct and monitor personnel performance in patient care activities, ensuring appropriate staffing and quality of care.
- Make rounds to assess patient needs, introduce self to patients and families, and update care plans as needed.
- Foster an environment of patient- and family-centered care with attention to cultural diversity and individual preferences; investigate and resolve patient care or operational issues as required.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s Degree preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice (California required)
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) required; PALS (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS) required; Department-specific BLS certification as applicable
- Experience: At least two years of recent nursing experience; five years’ technical experience preferred; supervisory experience required
- Skills: Ability to lead unit-based operations, collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, and staff; strong clinical assessment and care coordination on an acute care unit
- Other: Ability to work the listed shift and meet on-site unit responsibilities
