Overview
Registered Nurse – Cardiac travel assignment in Portland, Oregon, United States. The position begins 08/24/2026 for 13 weeks, with a weekly pay range of $2,239 to $2,374 and guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shifts are 3x12-hour nights in a short-term acute care hospital setting, working within a dedicated cardiovascular care program and a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of cardiac patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Collect, analyze, and document assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues; develop and implement a care plan.
- Monitor patient status, including hemodynamics and rhythm monitoring as applicable; respond to changes using critical thinking and clinical judgment.
- Coordinate care with physicians, ancillary staff, and other disciplines; supervise and direct activities of nursing staff as appropriate.
- Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and families to support continuity of care.
- Promote a safe and healing environment by adhering to infection control practices and safety protocols; engage in ongoing professional collaboration with the treatment team.

Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice (Oregon) or eligibility to practice in Oregon.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification from an approved vendor; ACLS (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) required; Basic Life Support (BLS) as part of AH policy required.
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field, with acute care and/or cardiac nursing preferred.
- Education: BSN preferred; active RN license.
- Additional: Ability to work in a high-acuity cardiac unit within an acute care setting; capable of adapting to a 3x12-night schedule.
