Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health, Adolescent Inpatient. This travel assignment is based in Lewiston, Maine. Start date: July 6, 2026. Contract duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,974–$2,092 per week. Shift: 3x12 Night shifts. Setting: hospital-based inpatient behavioral health unit serving adolescents with psychiatric conditions; some patients may require concurrent medical care. This role uses the nursing process to provide direct and indirect care, develop care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect nursing care within an inpatient adolescent behavioral health setting using the nursing process.
- Develop and update individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; monitor patient outcomes and identify available resources.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects; provide de-escalation and crisis intervention as needed.
- Document assessments, care plans, progress notes, and patient safety data; ensure accurate and timely records.
- Collaborate with psychiatry, social work, psychology, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care and discharge planning.
- Support patient and family education, maintain patient confidentiality, and adhere to regulatory and CPI-related standards.
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Licensure: Valid Maine RN license
- Certifications: BLS Certification required; CPI training must be current prior to start
- Experience: At least 1 year of previous mental health nursing experience
- Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; ability to work as a flexible team player; capacity to manage stress and make decisions under pressure
- Availability: Ability to work in an inpatient behavioral health setting; candidate must reside outside a 50-mile radius
