Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
- Plan and provide nursing care for patients; make nursing diagnoses and recommend treatment options.
- Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff to design appropriate treatment plans for clients.
- Administer and monitor reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications; adjust plans as directed.
- Monitor vital signs, assess pain, and ensure prescribed treatments for pain are implemented.
- Document all patient information on medical charts, follow physician orders, and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient treatments, immunizations and laboratory results according to standard medical recordkeeping.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, answering phones, typing, and completing progress notes in the computer system.

Requirements
- NY License: Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- BLS Certification: American Heart Association
- Telemetry: Telemetry proficiency or formal experience
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Ability to work in a hospital/acute care setting, with exposure to behavioral health / psychiatric care
