Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate recreation-based treatment programs for people with disabilities or injuries, or mental illnesses.
- Provide treatment services using a variety of techniques, including arts and crafts, animals, sports, games, dance and movement, drama, music, and community outings.
- Assess client needs and progress; collaborate with an interdisciplinary team; adjust programs to meet goals.
- Document treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes; monitor safety and adapt activities to address risk.
- Facilitate group and individual sessions; coordinate referrals to community resources and supports as appropriate.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification preferred or eligible for certification.
- Eligible for California-based licensure or credentialing as a Recreational Therapist, as applicable.
- Ability to work in an inpatient care setting and operate within a day-shift schedule.
- Strong interpersonal, observational, and documentation skills; ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
