
Overview
MRI Technologist (Radiology) – Burlington, Vermont. Start date 09/21/2026 for a 16-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range: $2,878 to $2,998 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts. Setting: hospital-based travel assignment. This role requires ARRT or ARMRIT licensure with MR advanced licensure and extensive MRI experience in a teaching hospital environment, with Epic EMR usage.

Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations across applicable patient populations, ensuring proper protocol selection and image optimization.
- Operate MRI equipment (preferably Philips systems) and position patients to obtain diagnostic-quality images while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Screen and evaluate patients for MRI safety, administer contrast as ordered, monitor for adverse reactions, and follow post-procedure care as needed.
- Adhere to all MR safety standards, institutional policies, and QA procedures; ensure accurate documentation in the EMR (Epic) and proper image labeling.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other team members to ensure timely studies, appropriate study protocol selection, and high-quality interpretation support.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, inventory, and assist with routine maintenance; coordinate with scheduling to avoid block scheduling and ensure timely workflows.
Requirements
- Active ARRT or ARMRIT radiologic technology license; MR advanced licensure required
- MRI Tech Certification Verification or equivalency; BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience; teaching hospital experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- Prior travel experience preferred; Phillips MRI system experience highly preferred but strong candidates without will be considered
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; 1–2 weekends per month; must be flexible with scheduling
- Reliable transportation required; public transit not available in the area; personal or rental vehicle recommended with winter tires November–April
