Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging exams on patients, confirming patient identity and exam orders prior to scanning
- Explain the procedure to patients and ensure their comfort; insert IVs when required
- Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain diagnostically useful CT images while maintaining safe patient handling
- Document imaging procedures accurately in EPIC and ensure images are sent to the PACS system after exam completion
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized scanning facility; adhere to department policies and patient safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians to provide quality diagnostic imaging and communicate findings as appropriate

Requirements
- Education: Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Licensure: New York State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (active prior to starting)
- Certification: Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography; ARRT CT certification preferred
- Experience: Minimum 2 years CT experience; Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
- Additional certifications: BLS (American Heart Association required)
- Injection therapy certification: Injection therapy certification stated on the NYS license at time of submission; injection certification preferred and may be completed during orientation
- Telemetry: Knowledge of telemetry and related patient monitoring preferred
- Equipment familiarity: Knowledge of Philips and Siemens imaging systems preferred
- Availability: Ability to work the Fri–Sun 7:00 am–7:30 pm schedule with on-call/callback, holidays, and occasional weekends
