CT Technologist (Radiology) – CT Tech travel assignment in Rochester, New York. Start date: 06/22/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,262 to $2,412 per week. Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the CT scan; adhere to department policy and patient safety procedures.
- Prepare patients for scans, explain the procedure, and provide reassurance to help them feel comfortable.
- Perform CT examinations, position patients safely, and manage any required IV access for contrast as needed.
- Operate CT equipment, adjust imaging parameters, and ensure high-quality images suitable for diagnostic interpretation.
- Document all necessary components in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and ensure images are correctly exported to the PACS system after the exam.
- Maintain a clean, safe scanning environment and comply with infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
- NYS licensure in Radiologic Technology (must obtain prior to starting).
- Completion of formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology; ARRT certification maintained.
- ARRT certification in Radiography; CT certification preferred.
- Two years CT experience; Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
- BLS (American Heart Association).
- Telemetry experience preferred; injection therapy certification on NYS license (or willing to complete during orientation).
- Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.
- Ability to work in a hospital imaging department with on-call responsibilities; strong communication and patient-care skills.
