Responsibilities
- Assist with interventional radiology procedures: prepare and position patients, set up sterile fields, scrub in as needed, operate imaging equipment, monitor patient status during procedures
- Image acquisition and navigation: manage fluoroscopy and radiographic imaging on Siemens systems (Artis family) and document findings
- Procedure support: maintain sterile technique, assist physicians and nursing staff, handle supplies and equipment for IR cases
- Patient care and safety: monitor post-procedure recovery and communicate any concerns to the team
- Collaboration: coordinate with IR team, nursing, and ancillary staff to maintain workflow and patient throughput
- Documentation: accurately record procedure details, charges, and patient information
Requirements
- Active ARRT Radiography license and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license (needed in hand for submittal)
- Experience: at least 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience; scrub experience required; 3 years IR and large-hospital experience preferred, with peripheral and neurovascular experience considered a plus
- Floating: may float to other IR locations within the system as needed
- Legal ability to work in the United States; on-site hospital setting requirement
- New graduates: not required or accepted per program notes
- Orientation and credentialing readiness: must complete scheduled orientations and meet credentials deadlines
