Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to in-patient psychiatric patients under RN supervision.
- Assist with activities of daily living and participate in social and psychiatric rehabilitation as directed.
- Monitor patient status, document observations, and communicate changes to the RN promptly.
- Participate in rounds and group therapy sessions as needed to support treatment plans.
- Support a safe, therapeutic milieu; respond to calls and ensure patient access to required services.
- Maintain effective and compassionate communication with patients and, when appropriate, their families.

Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a psychiatric technician
- Certification: BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Education: Associate degree in Psychology or Sociology
- Experience specifics: Ability to perform direct care in an inpatient psychiatric setting
- Scheduling: Comfortable working a 12-hour rotating schedule, including holidays, weekends, and on-call as needed
