Job Description

As a Travel Plaza Cashier at Onvo, you will be the face of our convenience store and fuel station, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and accurately processing transactions. You will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience for all travelers.

Job Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Accurately operate a cash register, handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods, and provide correct change.
• Scan and bag merchandise, ensuring correct pricing and adherence to company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking shelves and rotating products as needed.
• Assist with maintaining the overall cleanliness of the store, including restrooms and fuel pumps.
• Answer customer inquiries, provide directions, and offer information about products and services.
• Monitor fuel pumps and assist customers with fueling procedures when necessary.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to age-restricted sales (e.g., tobacco, alcohol, lottery tickets).
• Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
• Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills are essential.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive attitude and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
