Overview
Physical Therapy Assistant - LTAC, Mount Olive, North Carolina. Travel assignment starts 08/17/2026 for 13 weeks, with a weekly pay range of $1,404 per week to $1,533 per week and guaranteed hours of 35 per week. Shift is 5x8 days, with 08:00 to 16:30 daily. Work setting is a corrections facility providing long-term acute care rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistant services under PT supervision to LTAC-level patients in a corrections setting
- Assist in implementing and adjusting individualized rehabilitation plans, focusing on mobility, strength, and functional goals
- Instruct and guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and activities of daily living
- Monitor patient progress, document treatments and outcomes, and communicate changes to the supervising PT and care team
- Ensure patient safety and infection control, maintain treatment areas, and comply with facility policies and security protocols
- Support discharge planning and patient education, coordinating with nursing and other therapy staff as needed

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in North Carolina or eligibility for licensure in-state
- Graduation from an accredited PTA program
- Prior LTAC or inpatient rehab experience preferred; travel experience welcomed
- Ability to work effectively in a corrections setting and follow security and facility policies
- Availability for the 13-week travel assignment and the scheduled 35+ hour work week
- CPR/BLS certification is preferred or as required by standard practice
