Overview
Physical Therapy Assistant - travel assignment in Bowie, Maryland. Start date: 06/01/2026. Duration: 15 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,540 to $1,600 per week. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Shift: 5x8 days, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Setting: skilled nursing facility. This is a travel - temporary assignment requiring state licensure eligibility and ability to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Provide PTA support under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, implementing components of the plan of care including therapeutic exercises and activities.
- Assist with gait training, transfers, balance training, mobility tasks, and ROM activities within scope and facility policies.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment, document progress, and communicate changes to the supervising PT.
- Prepare and set up therapy equipment, modalities, and treatment spaces; ensure safety and infection control standards are followed.
- Collaborate with the therapy team and other disciplines; participate in care planning discussions and interdisciplinary rounds as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and support timely completion of routine progress notes.

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Maryland (or eligibility to practice in Maryland)
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Minimum 1 year of relevant PTA experience, preferably in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric rehabilitation setting
- Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing facility environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with reliable attendance and reliability for a 35-hour minimum week
