Overview
Physical Therapy Assistant travel assignment in Farmington, Maine. Start date: 06/01/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,225–$1,276 per week with guaranteed hours of 35 per week. Shift: 08:00–16:30, five days per week (8.5-hour days with a half-hour break). Setting: skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistant supports under supervision of a physical therapist, including therapeutic exercises, ROM work, and gait training
- Assist patients with transfer, mobility, positioning, and activities of daily living as directed
- Implement treatment plans and document patient progress, outcomes, and any changes in status
- Collaborate with physical therapy, nursing, and rehab staff to coordinate care and ensure patient safety
- Maintain therapy equipment and treatment space, ensuring infection control and safety standards
- Communicate patient responses and needs to the supervising PT for plan adjustments

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Maine or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Graduation from an accredited PTA program
- Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing setting and follow supervision requirements
- Willingness to complete onboarding, credentialing, and any required state or facility processes
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety in a fast-paced rehab environment
