Overview
Physical Therapy Assistant, specialty Physical Therapy Assistant, in Fargo, North Dakota. This is a travel, temporary assignment starting 05/18/2026 for 13 weeks with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed PT, implementing treatment plans and routines.
- Assist residents with mobility, gait training, range of motion, strengthening, and therapeutic activities to promote independence.
- Monitor patient responses during therapies, document progress, and communicate notable changes to the supervising PT and care team.
- Ensure patient safety during transfers, positioning, and functional activities; apply correct assistive devices as prescribed.
- Prepare treatment spaces and equipment, maintain clean and safe environments, and follow infection prevention guidelines.
- Document all interventions and outcomes promptly and accurately in the patient record per facility policy.

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in good standing
- Associate degree from an accredited PTA program
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Availability to work the listed shift and start date
- Relevant experience in geriatric rehab or a LTC setting preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable and professional in a patient-facing role
