Overview
Physical Therapy Assistant – Home Health in Bethel, Alaska, United States. Travel assignment starting 08/18/2026 for 26 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,494–$1,564 per week, with guaranteed hours of 32. Shift is Days, 5x8 (Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). The PTA will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to direct, modify, and administer physical therapy modalities and treatments aimed at restoring function and maximizing patient independence across the lifespan. Responsibilities
- Direct, modify, and administer physical therapy modalities and treatments as supervised by the Physical Therapist
- Administer treatments and physical agents after the PT has evaluated the patient
- Assist with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability
- Support patients to reach maximum function and independence within their capabilities
- Participate in department operational activities, performance improvement (PI) initiatives, and infection control and safety training
- Collaborate with a patient population across age groups (infants through geriatric) to support safe, effective care

Requirements
- Alaska license: Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in good standing, or eligible to work under FSBPT paperwork as a Student PTA post-graduation while preparing to take licensure exam
- Education: Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program (commonly a 2-year degree)
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience: Experience is preferred but not required
- Vaccination policy: Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required for travel assignments
- Ability to work in a home health setting and provide care across a broad age range
