Physical Therapist – General in Washington, North Carolina. Travel - Temporary Assignment starting 08/09/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,451–$2,587 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 8 hours per day. Work setting: skilled nursing facility. This assignment requires a current Physical Therapist license, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Perform clinical assessments to identify patient needs and determine appropriateness for therapy.
- Develop, document, and continually revise a Plan of Care (POC); prepare progress notes and other clinical documentation; collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
- Plan and provide treatment for neuromuscular, neurological, and orthopedic conditions based on medical referral and therapy assessments.
- Instruct patients and families in transfer techniques and safe use of equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes, braces, prosthetic devices); select and adapt rehabilitative equipment to meet home and patient needs.
- Educate patients and families about therapeutic procedures, prognosis, and home exercise programs; promote infection control and universal precautions.
- Supervise or train other team members when applicable; participate in coordination of care and acceptance of clinical assignments within scope of education and competence.
Requirements
- Current state license as a Physical Therapist – Required
- CPR certification – Required
- Current driver’s license with reliable transportation – Required
- 1–2 years of Physical Therapist experience in an acute care or rehabilitation setting – Required
- Prior home health/home care experience – Preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an APTA-approved program – Required
- Ability to work in a travel assignment with flexible scheduling; ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, and prolonged standing
