Overview
Physical Therapist (General) – Travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date: 09/21/2026 for 26 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,300-$2,404 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 5x8 Rotating. Setting: hospital-based acute care with primary coverage in ACUTE INPATIENT and ACUTE REHAB, plus secondary ICF/SNF Rehab.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients to determine PT needs and progress.
- Plan and implement ongoing therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by the attending physician and/or consulting specialists; provide consulting PT services as needed.
- Deliver PT services in acute inpatient and rehab coverage settings; collaborate with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient assessments, plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the Meditech EMR; ensure accurate and timely charting.
- Adapt treatment plans based on patient response and physician direction; monitor safety and therapy efficacy.
- Maintain availability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary based on hospital operations.

Requirements
- Active Hawaii PT license by start date; applicants not currently licensed in Hawaii must apply upon acceptance of offer.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Minimum 6 months of work experience with adults in at least one of the following settings: acute care, rehab hospital, or SNF.
- Ability to work in an inpatient hospital environment with ACUTE INPATIENT and ACUTE REHAB exposure; eligible for ICF/SNF rehab duties as needed.
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to complete employee health requirements; failure to do so may affect start.
- EMR experience with Meditech is preferred.
