Travel Physical Therapist (Chelsea, MI)
Location: Chelsea, Michigan
Shift/Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week)
Pay/Compensation: $55.00 to $57.00 per hour
About the Role
A leading regional healthcare provider known for patient-centric care is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist in Chelsea. You will assess patients, build and update plans of care, and deliver physical therapy interventions. Skilled nursing facility experience is needed.
Assignment Details
- Contract assignment, 90 days with possible extension
- Work setting: onsite
- Openings: 1
- Anticipated start: immediate start
Core Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of each patient's condition
- Establish, revise and evaluate a plan of care for the problems identified, involving the patient and family
- Perform therapy interventions using standard physical therapy techniques suited to the patient's condition
- Oversee physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel
- Document evaluations, treatments and progress accurately
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience
- Skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience required
- Active physical therapy license valid in Michigan (confirmed during screening)
- Availability for some holidays and one weekend a month
- Ability to work a full-time day schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel or contract therapy experience
- Experience supervising assistants and students
- EMR documentation experience
- Strong references from recent rehab managers
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to a new team
