Overview
OR Tech, specialized in operating room support, is available for a travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. Start date 06/15/2026 for a 13-week term with 40 guaranteed hours per week. Employment is travel - temporary assignment in a Critical Access Hospital setting. Shifts are day hours, 5x8, with 0900–1730 start times, Monday through Friday. Weekly pay ranges from 1,997 to 2,107, reflecting a clean, predictable schedule for a scrub role in the OR.

Responsibilities
- Function as scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures by assembling supplies and equipment required for the procedure.
- Prepare and organize sterile supplies and instruments; assist with placement of sterile drapes; provide instruments and supplies to the surgical team; maintain the sterile field and ensure sterility; prepare sterile dressings.
- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing; transport instruments to decontamination areas; assist with room turnover after procedures.
- Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and prepare the room for subsequent patients.
- Participate in ongoing education and competency verification activities applicable to scrub responsibilities; maintain privacy and confidentiality of patient information.
- Follow hospital policies and the program education curriculum; be prepared for occasional cross-department duties as needed when agency or core staff coverage requires.

Requirements
- Education: Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
- Licenses/ Certifications/ Registrations: BLS required; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
- Additional training: CRASE training required if travel assignment extends beyond 6 months.
- Experience: Relevant surgical technology training and ability to function in an OR scrub role; comfort maintaining sterile technique and assisting the surgical team.
- Work setting: Ability to perform duties in a surgical environment and adapt to circulating and scrub duties as assigned.
