OR Tech (Surgical Technologist) — Herrin, Illinois, United States. This travel assignment starts on 06/15/2026 for 13 weeks with a guaranteed 36 hours per week on a 4x10 rotating shift in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,003 to $2,143 per week. Responsibilities
- Assist in transportation and positioning of patients.
- Prepare patient and room for planned surgical procedures; open sterile supplies and set up for procedures.
- Assist surgeon by gowning and gloving; pass instruments and maintain correct counts of instruments, sutures, and sponges.
- Assist in identifying, collecting, and caring for specimens as needed.
- Decontaminate instruments and supplies according to established policies; restock and prepare the room for subsequent cases.
- Aid in the efficient turnover of the operating room for the next cases; monitor and restock supplies as needed.

Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) exam via NBSTSA or NCCT, or evidence of on-the-job training with ARC/STSA-accredited program or military training.
- Experience: 6 months of experience or specialized training for non-certified candidates; on-the-job or military training acceptable with documentation.
- Additional: Ability to work in a hospital operating room setting; ability to work a rotating 4x10 schedule; willingness to complete credentialing and onboarding requirements.
